Light, Medium, Dark: What Roast Level Actually Means

Roast level describes how far the beans are developed, not how caffeinated or 'strong' the coffee is.
Lighter roasts keep more origin character — florals, fruit, and brighter acidity. Darker roasts trade some of that for body, chocolate, and roast sweetness. Neither is better; it's about what you want in the cup.
